Wales lose Adam Matthews to injury for Scotland game


Wales will be without Adam Matthews for Friday's World Cup qualifier with Scotland in Cardiff, but Gareth Bale has been passed fit.

Celtic full-back Matthews has struggled with an ankle injury but could be fit for Tuesday's trip to Croatia.

Bale had been doubtful with a heel problem but the Tottenham winger has proved his fitness in training.

Another Celtic player, Joe Ledley, has also taken part in full training to dispel his injury concerns.

Wales are already without defenders Neil Taylor and James Collins, plus striker Craig Bellamy.
